FEATURED PROJECT
Value of Solar + Storage Project

SGP worked together with SRP’s generation, transmission, and distribution teams to identify and quantify the highest value applications for solar and energy storage deployments over a 10-year horizon.  SGP leveraged internal SRP planning tools and SGP-developed analysis tools to model solar and ESS operations for specific grid applications.  The study identified and quantified the highest value applications along with the locations, asset sizes, and technical configurations needed to realize these values.

"SGP’s deep and diverse knowledge of electric utility operations coupled with their experience with solar and energy storage technologies enabled them to earn the trust of our teams. Their work enabled us to prioritize among the many ways we could deploy solar and storage so that we pursue the path of greatest value for our customers."
Vanessa Kisicki, Director, Distribution Strategy, Salt River Project

Operating in Arizona for more than a century, Salt River Project (SRP) is a community-based not-for-profit utility that provides affordable water and power to more than 2 million people living in central Arizona. SRP has committed to aggressive renewable energy goals including a reduction in carbon intensity of 90% by 2050 and 2,025 MW of additional solar generation by 2025.
