Tess Williams, Ph.D., is a co-founder and Principal of Sound Grid Partners and leads project execution and team operations. She is an expert in helping electric utilities and other megawatt scale power producers to evaluate, procure, integrate and optimize energy storage and renewable energy.
Axel Schmidt is a consultant at Sound Grid Partners where he leads client-facing project management, engineering, and procurement projects. He has extensive experience with design, deployment and operation of DERs, as well as energy management systems (EMS) and controls. He has designed and deployed dozens of renewable energy and energy storage projects throughout the world.
Alexandra Giovinazza is the Business Operations Manager at Sound Grid Partners, where she works in driving organizational success through the development and execution of strategic initiatives. With a keen focus on optimizing processes, she ensures the seamless and efficient functioning of the entire organization.
Laura Kraus Lovenshimer is a partner at Sound Grid Partners where she leads client-facing projects on analytics. Laura’s passion is bringing both technical and financial pieces together to optimize the lifetime production and value of renewable energy assets. Laura brings extensive experience in asset management, performance analysis/engineering, performance modeling, and operation of utility-scale PV and battery storage assets. Laura drove the performance and optimization of nearly 6 GW of operating PV and battery storage assets as well as advised in the development of over 7 GW of renewable assets through her work at numerous IPPs and as a contractor to utilities. She has held various roles in the renewables industry including leadership roles in operations, analytics, asset management, consulting, and software development.
